Historic Wolf Hotel

Take a step back in time to Prohibition in the Wild West at Ellinwood, KS’s newest saloon and bar. The obscure entry door is manned by the fully costumed doorman, Mr. Westerman, who will expect the evening’s secret password (found weekly on Facebook). Upon entry, travel down the dimly lit stairwell and through the tunnels to a place that used to cater to cowboys and businessmen in the 1800s. Order a Prohibition era specialty cocktail like, “The Bee’s Knees”, your favorite draft, or a shot served in a coffee mug in an effort to elude the police in case of a raid! Relax in this unique atmosphere and enjoy the live music (on select nights). "The Underground", is open every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm - 1am. Chris McCord and his team have been hard at work the last three years, restoring the hotel to its former glory and glorious it is! Don’t forget to schedule your tour of the tunnels and book your overnight stay in one of the five fully restored rooms. You’ll be glad you came!
